COUNSELLING

FOR INDIVIDUALS & COUPLES

Sarah Jauncey

HOW COUNSELLING WORKS  Counselling is about being listened to. It offers you the chance to talk about issues and problems, difficult feelings, hopes and fears - in complete confidence and without being judged.

I believe we are the experts on our own lives. We hold the solutions to our problems, but we often need someone outside our circle of friends and family to help us see them.

Talking to a trained counsellor helps you to understand yourself better - how you behave and relate to other people - so that you have more choice in the way you lead your life.

Counselling can also help you come to terms with the past and accept the things you can’t change. It can give you courage and confidence to do some things differently and break out of patterns where you get stuck. You then have a better chance of fulfilling your dreams and making the most of your potential.

COUPLE COUNSELLING  This is to help you communicate better as a couple. As the counsellor I’m there to make sure you’re both properly heard. I’m on both your sides and I have no vested interest in a particular outcome.

NEXT STEPS  If you feel counselling might be helpful to you then please give me a ring to book an initial consultation. We’ll talk about your concerns and whether or not counselling is the right thing for you.

If you decide to go ahead, we may agree on a set number of sessions, or choose to keep it open-ended. Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes for individuals and one hour for couples. We usually meet once a week or fortnightly.

Each session costs £45 for individuals and £55 for couples. If you would like to book an initial consultation please contact me on 07870 647280 or email me sarah@jauncey.co.uk

THE STORIES WE TELL - personal development workshops

I also run personal development workshops, The Stories We Tell, with my husband. These weekend and residential workshops are based around our life stories and how we interpret them. They are open to anyone who is looking for space and time to take stock of their lives, explore where they’re going, and look at what might be getting in the way. They are also about living more purposefully, creatively and authentically.
